Laboratory

When doctors request testing, it is critical that they receive the best quality test results possible. That’s why Sturgis Hospital’s Laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) the gold standard in Laboratory Accreditation. We have 18 registered technicians who are experts at performing the tests you need.

Our Laboratory center offers you:

	Efficient Test Reporting to your physician
	Convenient hours, short waits and fast service
	Walk-in service (no appts necessary except for Sat)
	Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 7am -7pm Wednesday 6am - 7pm Saturday by appointment

	Therapeutic Phlebotomy (For blood and liver disorders)
	Paternity Testing

Medical Imaging

Medical Imaging provides a wide variety of testing -- this includes X-ray, CT (Computerized Axial Tomography), Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Mammography, Angiography, and MRI. ALl procedures are done by highly qualified, registered technologists, and interpreted by a board certified radiologist.

Our Location: The laboratory is located on the main level of Sturgis Hospital at 916 Myrtle Avenue, Sturgis, Michigan. See our SITE MAP for driving directions and campus map.

At all times, a technologists is "on call", available to come in and do the specialty areas.

All Medical Imaging procedures must be ordered by a physician.

	X-ray is staffed 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.
	CT is staffed 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday.
	Ultrasound is staffed 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday-Friday.
	Nuclear Medicine is staffed 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
	MRI is available Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
	Mammography is staffed 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

Physical Therapy

The Physical Therapy department of Sturgis Hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission for the Accreditation of Health Care Organizations. Physical therapy staff includes licensed physical therapists and physical therapist assistants trained in orthopaedics, neurological, industrial and sports physical therapy. The staff specializes in rehabilitation of inpatients and outpatients following injuries or diseases as well as injury prevention.

Cardio Respiratory

The Cardio-Respiratory Center is accredited by the Joint Commission for the Accreditation of Health Care Organizations. Cardio-respiratory therapy provides the following routine respiratory therapies as well as diagnostic procedures for inpatients and outpatients: Test results are promptly reported to your physician.

	Pulmonary function test
	Stress test
	Holter monitoring
	Sleep studies
	EKG

Cardiac Rehab

Our Cardiac Rehabilitation service is a blending of many specialties designed to offer top quality care in one location. The goal of our rehabilitation experts is to assist patients in restoring their health so they may return to an active lifestyle after having a balloon or stent placement, or recent MI (heart attack) or coronary artery bypass surgery. Cardiac rehab provides a multi-phase cardiac workout program with telemetry/blood pressure monitoring and/or a progressive exercise program customized to meet the needs of each patient.

The Cardiac Rehab Center is DNV accredited.
